The AMP Pistol[1] is heavy-duty sidearm used by AMP Defenders as their primary weapons. It is similar to the RDA Z-33 Pistol, albeit far more bulky and firing larger caliber ammunition.
Description[]
It is a gigantic, extremely heavy pistol that is essentially more of a literal arm cannon than a sidearm. Even compared to the already large Z-33 Pistol, the AMP Pistol's structure is significantly more robust. The increased bulk is there for a reason. The pistol needs to be strong enough to withstand the kinetic discharge of its ammunition, which uses the same 30mm AP cased munitions as the larger GAU-90 and AMP Submachine Gun, making it lethal to most medium-sized fauna of Pandora.[1] Because of this, the muzzle is almost exactly the same as the GAU-90, having a muzzle brake to both vent excess gas and redirect recoil.[1]
As it is a sidearm on principle, the AMP Pistol possess less ammunition than its larger brethren and less effective range, but it compensates for being far easier to handle, especially when the Defender already has a top-mounted MBS-22A Sentry Gun and a Ballistic Shield.[1]

- The AMP Pistol seem to share the same manufacturer as the GAU-90 and AMP Submachine Gun, which is Hirte and Fahl Arms Manufacturing Ltd., as they all use the same ammunition with similar manufacturing design structure.
