Defiant during her time as a student, Aha'ri was ultimately killed in cold blood by the director of TAP, John Mercer, when she and the group of students attempted an escape.
In 2138, when she was little she was kidnapped from her clan by John Mercer and Angela Harding, and was forced to participate in the TAP program with her sibling. She became best friends with Nor over the years; the two of them were the older children and they remembered their clan more, and shared in their feelings of wishing to rebel.
In 2146, during one of Alma Cortez's lessons, she stopped John Mercer from taking her sibling's songcord that belonged to her mother. She openly questioned his words that her mother did not love them.

Some time later, at night, Aha'ri, Nor and the protagonist argued with Teylan, who was the only one who seemed to believe in Mercer. Aha'ri reminded him of how they really got to TAP. She hummed Sarentu's song and then convinced the rest of the group to rebel and escape from the facility. However, the attempt failed and the children were detained by Mercer. Aha'ri began a chant, which the rest of the children took up, and confronted John again, saying that she felt Na'vi and wanted her freedom back. As she walked towards the door, she was killed by Mercer with his gun, much to the shock of the Sarentu children.
When it was time to update Aha'ri's student profile, Mercer merely vaguely wrote that she died to an unfortunate incident. However, Alma Cortez would later update it with a note saying Mercer killed her in cold blood because he could not tolerate dissenting views.[1]
Personality and Traits[]
Aha'ri argues with Mercer about how her mother's songcord is not a useless trinket.
Aha'ri was the most openly rebellious of all the TAP children, displaying disruptive and insubordinate behavior to her teachers. During the lessons she hummed Sarentu's song, to which she was very attached and thanks to which she maintained the morale of the entire group. She also did not hesitate to openly confront Mercer, questioning his words about his origins. She was willing to fight to regain her freedom and identity as a Na'vi, and paid her loyalty with her life.
Trivia[]
Aha'ri Dossier Screen seen in TAP-Con 1.
According to a database seen in the game, she was 6 years old, 52kg and 1.86m tall. However, the database may be seen as being outdated since the Sarentu were killed in 2138 and Aha'ri died in 2146, making her at least 8 years older when she died. More evidence is that Alma's audio log mentions Aha'ri is about 5 years old around the time the RDA abducted her.
The eye color of Aha'ri is different in cutscenes and in her TAP-Con 1 Dossier Photo. In the game cutscenes it is blue, in the photo it is amber.
