Akeylong once requested the assistance of a passing Raven to gather some rams that have strayed from the main herd. Unfortunately, while trying to rescue his child who had ventured too close to the RDA Highlands Base, Akeylong sustained fatal injuries as he was fired upon by an automatic turret. He was given a funeral, and his death made the clan distrust Raven quite a bit.[1]
After his death, Akeylong's spirit is visited by Raven within the Spirit Tree. Akeylong reveals he and Raven's Mother once worked together to destroy the first stronghold the RDA built in the region, which kept the RDA from setting foot in the Na'vi's land for years. Akeylong's spirit directs Raven to the Anurai Clan.
