I see your parents in you. The son of Toruk Makto.Akwey to Neteyam.
Akwey te Ra'aka is the olo'eyktan of the Olangi clan, one of the Horse Clans residing in the Plains.
Biography[]
Avatar[]
Following Jake Sully's emergence as the sixth Toruk Makto, he took on the pivotal task of uniting various clans to confront the RDA in battle. Taking control of his own formidable creature, Jake journeyed to the Olangi clan, where he personally called upon the Plains Riders to join their forces. The Plains Riders in turn, became a crucial component of the assembled army forming the foundation of the resistance against the RDA.
During the intense Battle of Ayram Alusìng, Akwey was observed riding his direhorse into battle. As a courageous leader, Akwey took charge of the Na'vi riders, leading them into the fierce confrontation. For a period of time, they valiantly resisted the onslaught of the RDA raiding party. However, eventually, due to an overwhelming force of the enemy, the Na'vi warriors, including Akwey and another Na'vi were compelled to retreat from the battlefield.
Akwey managed to survive until the end of the battle. Unfortunately, a significant portion of his clan did not survive the conflict. In the aftermath of the battle, the surviving members of the Olangi clan found refuge and integration with the Omatikaya, merging their communities and forging a new unity.
Avatar: The Next Shadow[]
He and his clan received assistance from Neytiri and Ikeyni following the substantial losses they suffered in the battle.[1]
Avatar: The High Ground[]
When the humans returned to Pandora more then a decade later, Akwey supported Jake's decision to directly confront the RDA. He had come to the realization that the Na'vi's traditional methods of fighting were ineffective against the RDA. Additionally, Akwey disagreed with Yeyatley's decision to seek peace with the humans, as he was the only warrior who remained in his clan after the Battle of Ayram Alusìng several years earlier. He held the humans and their approach to maintaining peace responsible for the situation and agreed to join Jake in his fight.
Later on, Akwey ventures into outer space to aid in the battle against the RDA. Additionally, he pledges to take care of Neteyam on behalf of Jake after the latter manages to stowaway on the shuttle. Furthermore, Akwey and Ikeyni provide support to the Sully family as they flee from Frances Ardmore's team in the forest, engaging in combat against the RDA forces.
