Avatar: The Way of Water: The Visual Dictionary is a tie-in book for Avatar: The Way of Water. It is similarly titled as The World of Avatar: A Visual Exploration, with similar content, and shares the same author.
Errors[]
There are some minor errors in this book:
- According to actor Johnny Alexander, there is a mix-up in the book that incorrectly misidentifies the names of Brown, Lopez and Ja.[1]
- Zdinarsik's name is written as "Zdinarsk" which is presumed to be an error which also occurs in The Art of Avatar: The Way of Water.
- Joshua Izzo clarifies "Aonung" is written without an apostrophe.[2]
- The book also says the Metkayina village is "Va'ru" when it is actually Awa'atlu.
Trivia[]
- The format and title of the book seems to be a homage to the Star Wars Visual Dictionaries which began production in 1998. The distribution and marketing of Avatar and Star Wars were acquired by Disney.
