Burnfiber

Burnfiber is a soft, cotton-like plant material native to Pandora. It is harvested from trees of the same name.

Description[]

The burnfiber tree has brown bark and many sprouting branches; bunches of orange burnfiber grow on the ends of them. The fiber itself is soft and fluffy similar to cotton or fiberglass insulation found on Earth, though its usage differs.

Usage[]

Burnfiber is primarily harvested and utilized by human operatives of the Resources Development Administration. Resin extracted from burnfiber can be used to create fuel for vehicles. The fiber itself is also used as a substitute for gunpowder in the creation of weapon ammunition.^[1] If or how the material is utilized by the Na'vi is unknown.

Trivia[]

Burnfiber trees only appear on the Avatar: Pandora Rising map when playing as the RDA.
