The Canyon Eyethorn is a variant of the eyethorn that grows in the Spires.
Description[]
This variant found in the Spires of the Clouded Forest has a longer reach than its cousins.
The eyethorn has sensory cells in its “eyes” that detect the presence of living organisms. The swaying and violent movement of the plant is a defense mechanism to protect wildlife from eating it. Though that movement takes up a lot of energy from the plant and thus it has to go into periods of inactivity, revealing a valuable seed within.
Gathering and Cooking[]
Canyon eyethorn seeds are most commonly found on floating mountains throughout the Spires, however, rarer seeds are found on the floating mountains to the northwest of the Tethered Spires in the Tangled Peaks subregion of the Spires. They are best gathered under the rain.
Using a canyon eyethorn seed as the main ingredient in combination with canyon ant hive nectar is rumored to have a special effect.
When used in a Standard Dish as the primary ingredient, it grants Nimble Gatherer III, giving the player +20% Core Stats when gathering.
