The Colonization of the Western Frontier (unofficial name) refers to the conflict that involves the Resources Development Administration attempted take over the Western Frontier, and the Resistance's attempts to repel them.
The conflict was one of the major events of the Second Pandoran War. It is the focus of the video game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Colonization of the Western Frontier[]
In 2169, the Sarentu and their classmates were awakened by Alma Cortez. They quickly joined the Resistance and the Sarentu destroyed many RDA bases that were polluting Pandora. The Sarentu motivated the Aranahe clan, the Zeswa Clan and the Kame'tire Clan to fight the RDA. At Drill Base Omega, the Sarentu and Teylan defeated and killed John Mercer.
The RDA would return prominently in the Heart of the Plains of the Western Frontier. Angela Harding captured Cortez and Anufi for information using a borrowed NeuroSect. However, they were liberated by the Sarentu who eventually killed Harding.

- Interestingly, despite the events of Frontiers of Pandora being set in 2169 and the Second Pandoran War, the RDA continues to use the older Samson and Scorpion during the Colonization, despite the existence of the newer Kestrel Gunships with humanity's return to Pandora.
- It is possible that they are used in this role to allow the Kestrels to be used in areas with higher Resistance presence.
