Unclear canonicity The information on this page comes from Avatar: Reckoning, a cancelled video game. Information and elements from this game are under questionable canon status.
But before we get into it, I want to make one thing clear: do not let SecOps catch wind of any of this. They'll only make a mess of things.
Professor Langford worked with Raven's mother and father, and they were his best assistants and researchers, and he considered them his close friends. Langford believes that their disappearance was more than just accident.
He was on Pandora back in 2154. At Hell's Gate, Raven's mother once overheard him pounding at his desk during a period of time when he locked himself in his office. She felt it was a dark time for him and he seemed neurotic. Then, one day, he ordered his researchers (including Raven's parents and Phil Bennet) to go to the wetlands, and then to the highlands a couple days later.
Avatar: Reckoning[]
Years after their disappearance, Langford invited Raven to the SciOps with a mission to find out what exactly happened to them. He suggested that Raven should start by connecting to the Tree of Souls. After hearing of a Na'vi who was ill with symptoms similar to malaria, Langford suggested to use the cure as a show of good faith to the Hulanta. When Raven shot some RDA soldiers in self-defense, Langford hid the link bed and promised to smooth things over with administrator Trinity Harper on behalf of Raven. Langford also assisted Raven in infiltrating the Refinery and saving O'ame, by monitoring the cameras and helping with information, he even sent a samson to extract them. Just before the peace talks, Langford managed to sent out last garbled message warning Raven.[1]
Trivia[]
There is speculation that he may be one of the game's secret villains. He is called Professor M during dialogue, and Raven says, "I think Trinity really did have something to do with their deaths. There is a man and a woman in this recording. For sure the woman is Trinity and I have no doubt she is involved. But who is the man... M and T... M messed up and called T, Trinity... I knew she had to be involved, but who is M..."
