The FT-M3A1 Flamethrower or sometimes known as the Recom Flamethrower is a type of incendiary device scaled up to fit a Recombinant and Skel Suit unit for defoliation and anti-infantry purposes.[1]

The Recom Flamethrower is designed in the same manner as a submachine gun, with an additional foregrip to provide better weapons handling. Despite being scaled-up to Recombinants, the Flamethrower is dimensionally smaller than the Bush Boss FD-3.[1]
This flamethrower system is a result of years of development. Based on the older Bush Boss FD-3, the FT-M3A1 offers improvements on fuel capacity, range and mobility. The flamethrower is connected by a hose to a tank system containing fuel and a propellant.[1] It also has a collapsible stock depending on the user's preference.[1]
