The fanged mongrel is a creature appearing in Avatar: Reckoning.
The fanged mongrel is a slender creature. The male is 40% larger than the female. It has a pair of deadly, long, pointed fangs similar to the extinct saber-tooth tiger on Earth.[1]
Size comparison to a Na'vi
The fanged mongrels are fierce carnivores that feed mainly on cave-dwelling animals and goats, they are the apex predators of the Highlands. When two fanged mongrels are fighting in unison, if one of them is killed, the other will become enraged. Therefore, it is important to assess your strategy accordingly to try and kill them at the same time. Fanged mongrels' attacks are swift and deadly. It is important to keep your distance from them at all times, and use rolls and other quick mobility skills to dodge their attacks. They attack with leaps, hind leg scratches and biting fangs.[1]

- There is evidence suggesting the harpetooth and Fanged Mongrel are the same creature but it is unclear since Reckoning was cancelled.
