The flat-tailed viperwolf is a subspecies of the more common viperwolf. It has a slimmer build, longer legs, and a stronger bite.
The flat-tailed viperwolf has sharp teeth and a pincer-like mouth, ideal for catching smooth-skinned prey. An extremely aggressive creature that feeds in groups, viperwolves attack their prey using their sharp claws and teeth. Their powerful hind legs also allow them to spring at their prey from a large distance.[1] The flat-tailed viperwolf has green colored skin on its back to better blend in with the Wetlands environment.

Flat-tailed Viperwolves are close relatives to Viperwolves and use their sharp claws and teeth to attack prey, although they are more adapted to wetland conditions. They have a slimmer body, six longer legs, and a more powerful bite. They can also use their flattened tail as a paddle to move quickly through the water, and even have gill-like slits on the side of their body that filter water, presumably for use in fishing. These creatures tend to fight in packs, which leaves unlucky individuals that encounter them to become easily outnumbered. When fighting with them, it is important to keep one's distance. Even when they are farther away, they will often quickly pounce on their targets using their well-developed leg muscles.
