The Gas Collector is a large unmanned mobile gas extractor used in the collection of natural gas deposits. It is found in the Western Frontier in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and a common outpost site to be destroyed in the game.[2]

Gas Collectors are large ground vehicles that is supported on four large tank tracks for maneuverability. They are nothing more than a giant tower which is used for refining natural gas resources on Pandora, with the entire tower being a mobile processing plant.[1] Once a resource deposit is found, four stabilizer legs would unfurl at the base of the vehicle's superstructure and be put in place for the process extraction.[1]
The gas would be collected through external pipes, usually located in shallow bodies of water to be siphoned back into the machine and into the tower.[2] At the top of the tower is a fume exhaust to expel the unwanted residues during processing.[2]
