Hollow Tree Resin is flora and a shortbow crafting material in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. It is secreted from dead, hollow trees in the Clouded Forest. In rainy conditions, the resin softens slightly, allowing for easier gathering. [1]
Resin is a viscous liquid that plants secrete to defend themselves against injury and predators. The Na'vi greatly value resin in crafting, using it to make glues and varnishes, as well as polishing hardened resin crystals for decoration.[1]
Gathering and Crafting[]
Hollow tree resin can be most commonly found inside hollow tree trunks in the Giant's Wilderness biome of the Clouded Forest, however, rarer resin is often found in the southernmost Giant's Wilderness biome. Best-quality hollow tree resin can be harvested at night. [1]
When used in a crafting recipe, the resulting shortbow will gain the 'Reflex shot' effect, meaning the weapon will have snap aim-assist. [1]
