Jamie Flatters (born July 7, 2000) is an on-the-rise English actor. He has starred in various British television since 2016 and, in 2017, joined the cast of the Avatar sequels as Neteyam, Jake Sully and Neytiri's eldest son.

Personal life[]

Flatters was born July 7th, 2000, in London, England. He attended Lambeth Academy in London and gained notoriety online after releasing a video on YouTube protesting his inability to vote due to his young age. Flatters is an eloquent speaker and previously won Jack Petchey's "Speak Out" challenge in 2015.

Career[]

Flatters' acting career began when he starred in the TV miniseries Flat TV in 2016. From there, he gained popularity for his role in the Children's BBC sitcom So Awkward, of which he played one of the main roles for two seasons. The following year, he was cast in the thriller TV series Liar. The first season performed well and was praised for its innovation, but critics met the second with distaste.[1] He was also Tedros in the Netflix film 'The School for Good and Evil.'

Role in the Avatar sequels[]

In 2017, Flatters joined the cast of Avatar: The Way of Water as Neteyam, the eldest son of Jake Sully and Neytiri, alongside Britain Dalton as younger brother Lo'ak and Trinity Bliss as the youngest sibling, Tuktirey.
