Jerome 'JJ' Epstein was raised - as all Antarcticans are - with a deep appreciation of environmental preservation. His ecological calling came in the form of an intense lifelong study of the flora and fauna of the distant moon, Pandora. Since arriving as a xenobotanist in the Avatar Program five years ago, Dr. Epstein has made great progress as one of the few avatars to find acceptance with the local Na'vi clan, the Tipani.
Dr. Jerome Epstein defected with fellow avatars, Dr. René Harper and Dr. Anson Langley. The task to kill him for his betrayal is assigned to Able Ryder if the player chose to side with the RDA. If the player sides with the Na'vi, his fate is unknown.
