Rumors and alleged leaks of set names and themes had circulated online as early as 2021, but there was no official announcement until The Walt Disney company confirmed in 2022 that they had partnered with LEGO to create toy sets based on the franchise.[1] Later, the official Avatar social media accounts advertised that they would have a featured place in LEGO's 2022 LEGO Con on June 18th.[2] The first toy set, however, was made available for purchase on the online store of retail center, Walmart, three days prior to the event, showing the first high quality, confirmed image of a set as well as the pricing and pieces count.[3] Four other sets were revealed and listed on the LEGO website on July 20, 2022.
First Release[]
Jake Sully & His Avatar (40554)[]
Although not part of the same set line-up as the other four, this set is based on Jake Sully's human body and his avatar body. It consists of two separate buildable models of Jake in his wheelchair and Jake in his avatar holding a spear. It is part of the "BrickHeadz" collection by LEGO and is interchangeable with other BrickHeadz sets.
Neytiri & Thanator vs. AMP Suit Quaritch (75571)[]
This set depicts the final battle sequence between Neytiri and her thanator and Colonel Miles Quaritch in his AMP Suit. It features a buildable AMP suit, a buildable thanator with a custom head mold, and some Pandoran foliage.
This set is based on the scene from the first film when Neytiri guides Jake Sully on his first banshee flight after completing Iknimaya. It features two buildable mountain banshee models, one based on Jake's banshee and one based on Seze, and a small buildable patch of greenery with floating mountains.
Floating Mountains: Site 26 & RDA Samson (75573)[]
This set is based on Site 26, the mobile link unit that Grace Augustine, Norm Spellman, Trudy Chacon and Jake Sully work out of later in the first film. It has five minifigures, the highest of all the sets. Of the set pieces, it has a buildable Samson 16, featuring the paint that was added to it for the final battle, the link shack itself, and a patch of Pandoran foliage. There is also a direhorse figure.
This set is based on the scene from the first film when Jake Sully returns to the Omaticaya clan as Toruk Makto. It features a buildable great leonopteryx, buildable Tree of Souls, some Pandoran foliage surrounding it, and a direhorse figure made from a unique mold.
