The Landing Module is designed for transportation of heavy paylods to the surface of Pandora. It is towed from Earth by a starship like the Interstellar Vehicle Manifest Destiny. Landing Modules are dropped as "Sling Loads" by the spaceships without having to land themselves.[1]

These immense structural landing pods are the size of a 40 story building or 176 meters tall and are capable of transporting an entire small army of 300 RDA troops.[1] Their capability in carrying heavier payloads makes them more cost effective than Valkyries, although a Valkyrie is still needed for a faster orbit-to-surface transportation.[1]
Each Landing Module can be packed with different, customised loads. Typical first-wave landers contain RDA Bulldozers and RDA Loaders for clearing and leveling a landing site.[1] A variety of other military assets can also be delivered to protect the construction fleet such as AMP Suits and SecOps personnel. Subsequent loads would than carry modular architectural systems and temporary defense walls, as well as construction equipment.[1] Most Landing Modules being heavily modified cryosleep habitation modules, share the same cryosleep apparatus which allow the human occupants to hibernate during the long journey from Earth to Pandora.[1]
The module once it lands, uses four immense shock-absorbing pylons with adaptable feet to safely deliver its cargo on any surface.[1] The module is protected from an ISV's anti-matter engines by its reflective thermal shielding panels and can be equipped with landing lights.[1] Afterwards, the doors on the module would unfold, revealing the first construction vehicles - which are stored on hydraulic lifts and racks - and later security personnel to clear the landing zone.[1]
