Leggings (Na'vi name: raspu') are a type of stocking worn by the Na'vi during flight.
Unlike earthen leggings, on Pandora this form of clothing is more protective and is worn primarily by Na'vi women.[citation needed] The legs of the leggings, which usually have openings in the knee area, reach the ankles, but at the top they are more like leggings: reaching the hips, the legs of the leggings do not match each other and are worn separately.
These leggings are made of leather or similar materials, decorated with embroidery or decorative elements such as beads or feathers.
Appearances[]
In the first film, only Na'vi women wore leggings: Neytiri wore them during the Iknimaya, as well as in the battle for the Tree of Souls. The Tayrangi Clan leader Ikeyni was also shown to have worn these clothes throughout the film.
In Avatar: The Way of Water, it is mentioned in The Visual Dictionary that Neteyam wears leg guards for ikran and direhorse riding.
