Magnusson is a RDA SecOps soldier stationed in the FEBA region on Pandora.

Magnusson, along with some other RDA SecOps soldiers, had been guarding an unobtanium shard for Able Ryder. When Ryder arrived to collect the shard, he had to assist the SecOps soldiers in defending the shard from a group of Na'vi attackers. Once this was done, he spoke to Magnusson, who was angry at Ryder because of all of the casualties he had received while guarding the shard. Ryder told him of the importance of what he was doing, but Magnusson simply said that it did not bring his dead men back and told Ryder to "go grab your rock". Magnusson wears mostly Centauri Armor.
