Memna is a Na'vi of the Kame'tire clan in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. He is a member of its sub-group, the Ke'awa Kame'tire.
Background[]
Memna is a calm, collected herbalist, but is willing to take up arms when he must.
He is well known among the young Na'vi of the Spires for his skill as an ikran rider and his peculiar ways of strengthening the bond between ikran and rider - a fact his son Emeray boasts to the Sarentu when they arrive at the Spires.
Memna thinks of The Hollows often. When Mokasa took over the clan, he could see that things were taking a turn for the worse, and gladly followed Tsu'lo and the other Kame'tire who chose to leave home behind. The hardship of the journey and setting up the community brought Memna close with an expert potion maker, Emeray's mother, who died when Emeray was young. He doesn't talk about her with Emeray, which is difficult for his son. Emeray often feels his father has just moved on, not realizing that Memna simply finds it too painful to talk about.
Because the Ke'awa Kame'tire community is so small, Memna found it hard to raise Emeray alone without the support of the larger clan. He quietly regrets leaving The Hollows, so when the Sarentu with news from Anufi, he's keen to go back. This is another source of conflict between him and his son because Emeray the Spires is his home.
