Mercer's Guard AMP is the final boss of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora main campaign (before The Sky Breakers).
It is a specialized and heavily modified AMP deployed on the Western Frontier in order to eliminate high value threats to John Mercer. This AMP is one of the most experienced and dangerous AMPs in the western region of Pandora. Care must be taken when confronting it.
Specifications/Overview[]
A unique AMP type created exclusively to John Mercer's specifications, this design combines capabilities from the Grenadier and Pyro AMPs. At medium distances, it will lay waste to the battlefield with napalm grenades. Closing in, it switches to the Bush Boss FD-11 flamer pistols, while being fully fireproof itself.[1]
The suit also has high mobility, which allows it to pursue its target relentlessly. It is also heavily defended, with its rear vents being covered with reinforced armor plating and the cockpit being extremely well-protected.[1] Nevertheless, the grenade launchers and fuel tanks are still vulnerable to attack and the rear armor can be blown off to expose its weak vents which may alert the pilot.[1]
Appearances[]
- At the end of the first main quest of Frontiers of Pandora, Awakening, the Sarentu is pinned down by this AMP and held at gunpoint. So'lek rescues the Sarentu, shooting at the AMP and causing a distraction to allow them to escape.
- Near the end of the final main quest of Frontiers of Pandora, Last Strike, the Sarentu fights and destroys the AMP, killing the pilot in the process.
Trivia[]
- It is seemingly one of a kind. Only one of this AMP design appears in Frontiers of Pandora.
- It can be spotted in Field Hangar Lima even after completing the main story. Use Na'vi Senses and look at the base and you can see red silhouette deep inside the mountain.
