The Ovumshroom is a fungi-like plant native to Pandora. It is one of the Na'vi's food sources.
Description[]
The ovumshroom is a small fungi-like plant, with a cyan stem and dark blue cap. It has many shiny, bubble shaped, egg-like nodules on its cap, which appear to be filled with some sort of liquid. The plant appears very similar to species of mushroom found on Earth such as the rhodotus palmatus and hydnellum peckii mushrooms. It appears to have some form of bioluminescence. It is unknown what location and environment the ovumshroom grows in.
Usage[]
The ovumshroom is edible to the Na'vi, at least when cooked. It is a common food ingredient in many Na'vi dishes, such as the Rider's Kabob, but can also be eaten on its own. It is unknown if the ovumshroom can be eaten raw, or if it has any hallucinogenic properties like many species of fungi on Earth do.
