Pandora's vegetation is unusual, even fantastic. Environmental factors that affect plants on Earth (radiation, water, atmospheric gases, gravity) also act on Pandora, although their characteristics are somewhat different, which naturally affects the flora. All these factors influenced the evolution of the local flora. For example, Pandoran plants, like terrestrial plants, are affected by gravity, but in Pandora it is much less and as a result, the stems do not always grow upward and the roots downward. Furthermore, gigantism is widespread. Under the influence of a magnetic field and ionizing radiation, plants have developed certain reactions; magnetotropism and radiotropism, and some representatives of the flora have the ability to magnetonasty, that is, they move in accordance with the magnetic field. Compared to these phenomena, the most typical reaction, thigmotropism, which is found on both Earth and Pandora, seems to be a common phenomenon.

Studying the local flora is an invaluable experience that the few scientists lucky enough to make it to Pandora are lucky to obtain.

Despite the great diversity of Pandora's flora, it is possible to identify certain common traits.

Giantism
