Patient Elder

The Patient Elder are trees that have gone through a fossilization process over a long period of time. Commonly found in the Prism Fields and Petrified Forest of the Heart of the Plains.

Anatomy[]

Ancient trees that have almost completely turned into a stone-like material, while keeping their shape and structural integrity intact. Over time, organic matter in the ancient tree is slowly replaced with silica, iron and other groudwater minerals. During the petrification process, veins of luminescent oxides are formed within the bark, giving the structure a blue vein-like texture.
