Patient Elder Resin

The Patient Elder Resin is a shimmering lustrous resin.

Patient Elder Resin, found on the Patient Elder, is a rare, pretty, and strangely perfumed substance. In sunlight, minerals within the resin oxidize, causing it become brittle and shatter. Larger pieces can only be found in shadowy, sheltered areas.

Resin is a viscous liquid that plants secrete to defend themselves agains injury and predators. The Na'vi greatly value resin in crafting, using it to make glues and varnishes as well as polishing the hardened resin crystals for decoration.

Gathering and Crafting[]

Patient elder resin is commonly found on petrified trees in the Heart of the Plains. Rarer resin can be found northwest of Teardrop Lake in Rider's Stretch.

It is best gathered at night. When used in a shortbow crafting recipe, it will give the player the Reflex Shot buff.
