The platebacked lizard (Na'vi name: Wuwuk Lakpxayopin) is a small reptilian creature with a shell-like hump on its back.
Tough and sturdy, platebacked lizards roam the grasslands in search of small insects and worms to feed on. They use their long, flat beaks to rummage through soil in tight spaces.
Though they are slow moving creatures, they can traverse a variety of terrain thanks to their sharp claws, including rocks and trees. As they explore, they often become the prey of ikran. However, they are well defended thanks to their large, colorful carapace which gives them an intimidating appearance, helping them resist attack.
Na'vi Culture[]
Na'vi utilize the carapaces of fallen platebacked lizards in a multitude of ways. These include being used as cooking utensils and crockery. Na'vi also use the beaks of platebacked lizards as tools for digging and for gathering materials.
