Poison Breath Spore is flora in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
An epiphytic zooplantae that commonly grows on the trunks of large trees, the poison breath spore is a rounded, oval-shaped pod with an opening at one end. Its rudimentary nervous system is highly sensitive to the movement of larger animals and triggers a dynamic defense response when one is nearby.
When approached, the poison breath spore shakes and creaks loudly in something akin to a threat display. If the approaching creature does not move away, the plant spews out toxic spores in a forceful burst to drive the creature off.

Extremely volatile, the poison breath spore explodes if struck.
The poison breath spore largely grows on trees throughout the rainforest, although specimens have been found on vines and moss. Much like the puffball fungus of Earth, its defense mechanism also spreads spores to nearby trees and plants.
Na'vi have no practical use for the poison breath spore itself. However, the distinctive sound and rapid movements of a threatened poison breath spore are often used by Aranahe Na'vi to detect the movements of animals they are tracking on a hunt.
