The RDA Container Loader is your typical container loader one might see in a civilian airport. This vehicle possess an impressive 24-wheel drive system in a double-wheel configuration of six bogies[3].
The driver's cabin is situated on the left as the entire superstructure of the vehicle is completely flat with guardrails, to ensure that the cargo does not slip. As a container loader, this vehicle has the ability to extend the entire superstructure vertically through a lifting mechanism (approximately 6-7 meters tall maximum)[2][1], allowing the vehicle to offload its cargo on elevated heights that would be deemed impractical if done by hand or by other lifting machines.
Since they are usually located within RDA bases, they are most likely used to offload and onload container freight from aircraft, storage stacks and other areas requiring verticality[4].
