Let me show you how I came to be here. Then you can decide whether meeting me is a gift or not.
Rasi to the protagonist.

Rasi is a Na'vi of the Sarentu Clan in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. As of 2170, she is one of the original five survivors of the clan following its near decimation. After escaping from TAP, Rasi fled into the Spires of the Clouded Forest and lived alone for a while, but later found her place among the other remaining Sarentu.
In the year 2138, just as TAP began its operations, Rasi and the Sarentu Clan were celebrating at the Sarentu Moot, where a young Protagonist, Aha'ri, Kataru, Ri'nela, Nor and Teylan were also present. However, when mercenaries under the command of John Mercer and Angela Harding arrived to claim the clan's children, they soon attacked when the Sarentu refused to comply. Rasi was shot in the arm and hid under the bodies of other Sarentu during the massacre, leaving the rest of the clan behind to be killed or taken. She waited until the killing was over, and fled. After her escape, she lived in the Spires region in self-imposed exile, feeling guilty that she abandoned her own people.
Rasi built three Sarentu totems in the Spires region. Instead of the grand vistas overlooked by those in the Western Frontier, the locations she chose for her totems were lonely, reflecting her isolation and sadness.
Years later, during the Second Pandoran War, a Sarentu Na'vi fighting the RDA in the region was injured, but later rescued by Rasi, to their shock. Rasi recognizes the Protagonist's songcord, particularly the segment belonging to Kataru. She asks about Aha'ri, and is devastated to learn that both Kataru and Aha'ri were killed. Meeting the Sarentu was a great shock for Rasi. She rejects them, believing herself unable to live up to their expectations of mentorship and guidance.
The Protagonist continues to insist that meeting Rasi is a gift, but her guilt consumes her and, via a Tarsyu, she shows the Protagonist her memories of fleeing to the Spires after the massacre at the Sarentu moot.
Despite the Protagonist's pleas, and their insistence that Rasi could not have done anything to prevent the massacre, Rasi initially refuses to return to the rest of her clan out of extreme guilt.
However, during the events of The Fight for Home, during the battle to destroy the Grinder, Rasi helps the Sarentu and their allies defeat an RDA mining operation, realizing that she could not leave the children in danger for a second time. After the fight, she returns to Sheltering Falls and teaches Ri'nela, Teylan, the Protagonist, and So'lek the words to The People's Cry.
After spending time with the other Sarentu and seeing their bond, she softens and decides to join them, believing she may have a place among them after all. For the first time in a long time, Rasi begins to look towards the future with hope.
Personality and Traits[]
Rasi's true personality is initially shrouded by the incredible guilt she carries after surviving the massacre at the Sarentu moot. She angrily rejects companionship, both from Na'vi of other clans and Na'vi from her own, believing she is irredeemable due to her choice to hide instead of fight against the Mercer's forces at the moot.
However, after beginning to resolve her guilt, due to realizing she was not the last of her clan, she begins to naturally gravitate towards a teaching role for the younger Sarentu members. She is a reassuring presence for the younger Sarentu, telling them that they are Sarentu no matter their experiences.
Trivia[]
The Storm Chaser Starter Pack, a promotional deal in the store on day one of the Secrets of the Spires DLC, included Rasi's clothes, hairstyle, headguard, and an ikran cosmetic override like her ikran, Tanhì. The pack did not include her scarf.
Though she claims to have not interacted with the Ke'awa Kame'tire, Tsu'lo's ikran has Sarentu gear. It is possible she was the one who gave this to him.
Rasi appearance on player character bug
On release of the Secrets of the Spires DLC, there was a bug where, after the end of the cutscene in Into the Mountain when the Protagonist meets Rasi, the Protagonist's appearance in the character menu would be changed so that their face and hair were the same as Rasi's appearance, possibly because Rasi's segment of this quest contains a flashback where the player plays as her. Closing the game and reopening it resolves this issue, as does visiting the Changing Place in Sheltering Falls and changing your character's face and hair options, then changing them back to what they were originally. Even when the bug was still active in the menu, the character's appearance in the world or in photo mode is not altered.
