According to both of our sides of history, wasn't it also a Sky Person who helped the Omatikaya? Not all Sky People are the same.
Raven mentioning Jake Sully to Ro'até.

Raven is the main protagonist of Avatar: Reckoning. They are unnamed but the default call-sign given to them is 'Raven'.

Biography[]

Prologue: No Return[]

Raven's mother and father were researchers on Pandora when Raven was very young. They were both avatar drivers. However, they disappeared in 2154 just before the Battle of Ayram Alusìng broke out. Raven believes they were killed. Seeking closure, Raven wants vengeance and desires to find an explanation for their apparent deaths, and intends to secretly investigate the RDA. Raven has experienced around 500 hours in avatar linking simulation, and is also fluent in the Na'vi language.

Raven is invited to join SciOps by professor Edmund Langford who shows the final footage recorded by Phil Bennet. Raven's parents were close friends and associates of Langford, and although he wants Raven to continue their parent's research, he also wants Raven to find out what exactly happened to them.[1]

Chapter 2: Where the River Ends[]

Raven joins captain Will Murphy's SecOps team to get some immediate action. During their first mission, Raven happens upon a hammerhead titanothere and attacks it. The fight is interrupted by Ro'até. After the Hammerhead is calmed down, Raven follows Ro'até to the Wetlands. Raven is again attacked, but this time by viperwolves, forcing Ro'até to save them again. Raven learns that one of the members of the Hulanta clan is ill.

Regrouping with Will Murphy and Ashley Sloane, Raven sets off a flare so that Vince Anderson can find them and come pick them up in a Samson. The flare, however, set off a sturmbeest stampede, which in turn attracted an alpha dodiapede. Vince got to them in time and they flew back to Forward Base.

Raven reports back to medical to be checked out and mentions the Hulanta clan's sickness to Langford, who says it is similar to Earth's malaria. Langford also suggests that Raven connects to the Tree of Souls to learn more about their parents.

After a good night's sleep, Raven goes on their second trip to Wetlands and seeks out Ro'até, attempting to gain her trust. Raven learns that the history is not what they have been told. Raven asks to connect to the Tree of Souls, but Ro'até can't make that decision. On their way to the Hometree, Raven meets O'ame and Fatao, and is then brought before the Tsahìk, Angat, who allows them to connect to the Tree of Souls if they go through some training with the Na'vi. Raven also offers the cure for the sick man as a show of goodwill, but Angat refuses. Ro'até suggests that she take it just in case and use it as a last resort, which she agrees to.

Raven takes the rite of passage, and after they finish it, heavy rain starts. Raven hears a Na'vi girl is hurt nearby and goes to assist her, later reporting it to the clan leader, Tiaru. Tiaru doesn't want Raven interfering with the children's rite of passage, but Raven still helps by observing, and the children are attacked by sharptooth lizards. Raven fights the beasts while Ro'até leads the kids back to the Hometree.

Ro'até asks Raven for a trip and O'ame starts following them. They find an RDA base nearby, where even Raven is not allowed to enter. Later, Raven and Ro'até still go and attempt to find out why the RDA forces were there. When they are attacked by soldiers, Raven is forced to shoot them. Raven then overhears from the communicator that the RDA are searching for some sort of object. The news of Raven shooting the soldiers also reaches Forward base, and Langford offers to take their human body to safe location while he smooths things over with administrator, Trinity Harper. He also tells Raven to stick with the Na'vi if they want to find out what happened to their parents. Following the trails of RDA, Raven reaches the same place where they fought hammerhead titanothere before, and they were forced to kill several soldiers on the way there.

Back at the Hulanta Hometree, Raven learns that O'ame has been taken by the RDA forces. They contact Langford to learn where she is being held. Trying to minimize the conflict, Raven and Ro'até then infiltrate the Refinery, and Raven enters alone, but Ro'até secretly follows and saves Raven from a guard. They then continue on together and save O'ame before trying to escape from the roof of the refinery. They are intercepted by Hercules in an AMP Suit, but Raven deals with him and they escape successfully.

Saving O'ame was enough to prove to the Hulanta of Raven's good intentions, and they are allowed to connect to the Tree of Souls. Raven sees a memory of Tiaru when he and a young Ro'até were saved by Raven's mother.

War of the Wetlands[]

On their way back, Sahane informs Raven that administrator Trinity has surrounded the Hometree with soldiers. Raven manages to convince the Hulanta to try and talk to the RDA instead of fighting. Langford manages to get a short message to Raven, leading her to investigate what RDA is up to, and all the forces they had gathered leads them to think they are not interested in peace talks. Raven then goes fully rogue and takes an AMP Suit to fight the RDA. They manage to take down the Dragon Assault Ship, but are pinned down by two Scorpion gunships. Ro'até arrives with her ikran and saves Raven, but one arriving Scorpion starts chasing Ro'até. Raven runs after them with the AMP, and manages to jump on top of the Scorpion from a cliff and stab its motors with the AMP suit knife. Raven, still clinging to the Scorpion, goes down with it.[1]

Chapter 3: The Coming Storm[]

Raven discovers many of the Hulanta were killed by the RDA, and the RDA has taken Angat into custody. Raven goes to Highlands to meet with Eaton Roberts. Raven ends up assisting the Rey'tanu Clan with a sandstorm, and makes peace with Ameini. However, after an RDA turret ends up killing Akeylong, the clan becomes distrustful of humans and wants Raven gone. Ro'até arrives in time and defends Raven, saying the RDA is the real enemy, not Raven. The clan defeats Roberts, and Raven is allowed to connect to the Spirit Tree. Through a recording, Raven suspects Trinity Harper had something to do with their parents' deaths, and decides to go to the Anurai Clan for more answers.

Raven encounters the Anurai, and its members Liani, Ahulang, Tal'an, Tsnu'u, Ninang. Raven meets the Anurai Tsahìk and allows Raven to stay with the clan, but says Raven must earn their trust.

Raven overhears from an RDA officer that the RDA is planning to do something big to the Anurai clan, and says Raven should stay away from the clan if they want to survive. The RDA attacks the clan and Ahulang is killed.

Raven asks the Tsahìk how to gain the clan's trust, and she replies to do the Gathering Ceremony: capture a Fireback Mastodon. Meanwhile, Ro'até decides to find a lost Anurai relic, a horn, to unite the clans to fight against the RDA. Raven discovers the RDA and Trinity are also searching for a relic, and convinces Murphy, Beethoven and Ghost to not mindlessly do what the RDA wants. The relic is found and returned, and Ro'até plans to bring the clans together to take their home back from the RDA.

While exploring, Raven meets a Na'vi named Fle'ono who mentions they lack an ikran. Raven tames an ikran. Datamining suggests Raven may have had a battle in the sky with Trinity. Raven and Ro'até learn the RDA is apparently imprisoning Na'vi of the Tayrangi Clan and so they head there to free them and potentially save Angat as well.

Memorable Quotes[]

  • So what, are you gonna dock my pay, or are you gonna send me to the firing squad? The Na'vi are finally starting to accept me!
  • In nature, there is no villain. Humans just love to pretend like they're the heroes, pillaging and plundering in the name of justice.
