A Resistance Field Lab is a small SciOps field operation site created by the Resistance. There are 54 of these field labs located around the Western Frontier; having notable thematic / stylistic differences depending on which region the field lab is located: Kinglor Forest, Upper Plains, and Clouded Forest.

History[]

Following the return of the previously exiled Resources Development Administration to Pandora in 2168, all of these field labs were intentionally decommissioned (by way of i.e. normal shutdown procedure, result of blown fuses, or intentional sabotage to the powerlines).

In 2169, after the Sarentu (the player) joins the Resistance, these locations are reactivated / powered-up by the Sarentu, acting as fast travel spots / mini-hideouts to aid the Sarentu in their quest to disrupt, and put an end to, the RDA's mining activities all across the Western Frontier.

World Knowledge Entry[]

Resistance fields labs were set up across the Western Frontier, allowing scientists to study Pandora and send data back to Resistance HQ via a computer terminal. But when the RDA returned to the region, the Resistance retreated closer to their HQ. These field labs were set temporarily offline as a result. Many of the experiments were left incomplete and valuable data was lost. As the Resistance continues to attract more RDA defectors, as well as Na'vi allies, many Resistance scientists think it's time to get the field labs back online again, One day, the scientists may even be able to continue their fieldwork.

Trivia[]

  • In order to interact with these fields labs, the player must complete the Resistance Field Labs (quest).
  • All resistance field labs have one of three designators (field lab, lab, or station) attached to the end of their individual title. However, there is little, if any, difference in visual appearance or function of any location assigned a particular designator compared to another location with a different designator found anywhere within the same region.
