Richard Baneham (born 1974) is an Irish animator and visual effects supervisor, who has worked on such films as the The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, the Chronicles of Narnia, and Avatar. Amongst other awards, Baneham has received a BAFTA Award for Best Special Visual Effects and an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. Baneham served as a co-producer, VFX supervisor, and animation supervisor on Avatar and as the senior VFX supervisor on the Flight of Passage attraction for Pandora: The World of Avatar. He previously worked for Weta Digital before joining Lightstorm Entertainment.[1][2][3][4]
