The Sailfin Goliath[1] is a large fauna species of Pandora inhabiting the Western Frontier.
Anatomy[]

The Sailfin Goliath is large with armor-plated skin in various shades of green and yellow. Like most animals on Pandora, it is six-limbed, but it has two neural queues extending from behind the lower jaw and two pairs of eyes, one on either side of its head. A large, arrowhead-shaped bony structure protrudes from the top of the creature's upper jaw. It also has a large sail down its back and two protrusions on either side which appear flexible. A row of colorful skin flaps, pinkish in hue, branch out from these protrusions. The flaps are flexible and are similar to the facial flaps found on the hammerhead titanothere. It has two operculum on its lower chest.
Behavior[]
The Sailfin Goliath is a rare and magnificent beast, non-aggressive and slow-moving, that surrounds itself with an oasis of abundant tranquility. Its long, waving tendrils are used to spread pollen around its garden, and to release chemical signals that activate repellants in the planimals it grows, keeping predators away. Its head crest and towering sail help to keep this giant animal cool, and are theorized to play a part in mating rituals, though no Gentle Giant has ever been seen in company with another.
Na'vi Culture[]
The Na’vi do not hunt the Sailfin Goliath, but harvest from its garden instead, in the knowledge that the highest quality ingredients can be found there. The Sailfin Goliath is regarded by some clans as an example of how Eywa wants them to live, existing in a state of calm and peaceful contemplation. Others, like the Zeswa clan, point out that the Sailfin Goliath is so rare as to be almost legendary, and that is where such wishful thinking gets you.

If the the Sarentu bonds with a Sailfin Goliath, the animal will lay down and fall asleep. This grants the Harmonized buff which will make all wildlife non-aggressive towards the protagonist for 30 minutes.
