This page tries to gather all spoken Na'vi from Avatar: The Way of Water. Please keep in mind that the transcription work was done through community effort (see sources). This article does neither claim to be complete nor correct Na'vi. It is primarily based on good guesses and the pronunciation of the voice actors, rather than textual sources.
Notes: Na'vi terms surrounded by double parentheses mark fragments that are incomprehensible or unclear for syntactic or semantic reasons. English translations were taken from subtitles where available. It should also be noted that it is implied through Jake Sully's narration that the majority of dialogue between Na'vi characters is canonically in Na'vi that has been translated into English for the viewer. Only Na'vi that is heard by the audience as Na'vi has been translated. Miscellaneous Na'vi words interspliced with English (i.e. uturu, skxawng, etc.) have been omitted for brevity.
Where present, the reef Na'vi dialect has been written with altered romanization to reflect the different phonetics. Tx, Kx, and Px are written as D, G, and B; tìftang/glottal stops are omitted between non-identical vowels; unstressed ä is written as e; and sy- and tsy- consonant clusters are written as sh- and ch- respectively. Reef Na'vi also has an additional vowel, ù.
Please consider using the discussion page before making changes.
