Stairfoot Bark

Stairfoot Bark is flora and gear crafting material in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. It can most commonly be found on stairfoot trees throughout the Kinglor forest, however, rarer stairfoot bark can be found amongst the great roots in the Rising Spires domain of the Kinglor Forest. Best-quality stairfoot bark can be harvested at night.

The sapwood (layer beneath the bark) of the stairfoot tree grows with a web of fibrous fungal strands running through it. This structure makes for a tough, but slightly flakey, bark surface.

Bark is the tough outer coating of plant stems, roots, and trunks. The Na'vi have learned to gather bark 'galls'; knotty swellings on the plant surface caused by natural damage. This gathering helps heal the tree and the bark is used to craft a variety of Na'vi gear.
