The starbeak is a Pandoran fish that can be found in the fractal reefs. It is similar in appearance to Terran fish such as pufferfish, lionfish, and frogfish.
Anatomy[]
The starbeak is covered in stripy spines that run along its back. Its fins are composed of thin spines covered in thin blue webbing. The starbeak has six fins, two upper pectoral, two lower pectoral, one upper caudal fin, and one lower caudal fin. It has two side-facing eyes to help spot predators, just like Terran prey animals. It has two horn-like protrusions on the top of its head and a sharp barb poking out of the front of its head. Near the base of the creature lie six stubby tentacles that surround the creatures mouth. Zebra-like patterns are exhibited throughout the body such as around the eyes, throat, tentacles, fins, and back.
Appearances[]
While Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri and Tuktirey were taking their first free diving lessons, the starbeak was one of the species among the abundance of different fish they saw.
