The Steervane[1] is a Pandoran creature that appeared in Avatar: Pandora Rising. It was briefly shown in the opening cutscene of the game but was never implemented as an interactive creature.

The steervane is somewhat similar to a cross between a hexapede and a sturmbeest, with the latter's distinctive head-shape, but a slimmer body and two protruding yellow crests branching off of the sides of its head. It has red skin with black or brown striping and spotting, and hooved feet. Its exact size is unknown, but it is large enough to comfortably fit a 2 meter tall Na'vi on its back. It appears to either have fur or armor plating covering its backside.
The Na'vi appear capable of taming and riding the steervane as they would a direhorse.

- The steervane was never named or used officially in Avatar: Pandora Rising prior to it being canceled. Its name is instead sourced from files extracted from an APK file of the game, wherein it is titled "Steervane".
