Jake meets this agent in the alley where he was taken from the bar. When his partner begins to doubt that he is the person they are looking for, the agent confidently declares that "it is him". After Jake asks "not to spoil the mood", the agent informs him that "it's about his brother".
At the crematorium, the agent demands from one of the employees where Tom's body is, after which, when Jake is convinced that he is in front of his dead twin brother, he is the first to speak to him "completing Tom's contract". According to the men, Jake can now "start everything from scratch, in a new world" and finally begin to be useful, to engage in serious business. They also supposedly pay very well.
