The name of the ritual is "iknimaya". It is also the name of the place where ikrans nest in Hallelujah Mountains. The word means "the path to heaven". By the way I agree with you, this rite of passage should not be necessary for all Na'vi. There might be different rite of passages for different clans all over Pandora.
