Survival OddsEdit

How could Dr. Max Patel survive on Pandora after the RDA left ? I mean, he can't breathe Pandora's air and, most likely, can't drink Pandora's water or eat Pandoran food either (different biochemistry from the one found on Earth, possibly toxic, etc.). Without the supplies on Hell's gate and constant new shipments from Earth, he wouldn't last long.

Actually the same applies to all humans who decide to stay on the moon (Norm included), unless they chose like Jake to transfer their minds permanently to their avatar bodies ! 00:43, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

well they can survive on Pandora on the breathing part, there are many exopacks there. but all the other point i don't know. they would survive for a few years but at the time of the next shipment, which is not supposedly coming in means there will be no food. good point as well -Avatar- 00:51, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

And even if the other Avatar team members could choose to transfer their minds to their Avatar bodies, what would Patel do as he has no Avatar body?
For the air part, there has to be some sort of machine to produce it as they don't use exopacks everywhere so they should be fine as long as they can keep those machines running. And given the huge amount of unexplored area on Pandora, they might even find something they can eat. --LuckyMan 01:00, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

who know's, i guess we will have to find out in Avatar 2 :P im pretty sure there will be one. so um... ill get back to you in about 3-4 years :P -Avatar- 01:04, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

How do you know he doesn't have an Avatar Body? It is possible... we can't say for sure. -- User:Appparition January 1, 2010

he was just a scientist for the avatar program... he may but cant just think he does :P you know what i mean

Well, I was making an assumption as we haven't seen his Avatar nor is there any mention of it in the movie, and I remember reading it somewhere that he had none (though as I've read countless articles about Avatar I have no memory which one it was, or if it's even true). --LuckyMan 02:00, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

i wonder if he does... at the end was he stood there in his human form when the sky people were leaving?

Yes he stood left to Norm, both in their human forms, as Norm's avatar got shot in the battle. Faern. 14:40, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
