I'm not sure if this matters or not, but this creature did appear in the movie. It's a very fast shot but when Jake says "I managed to talk Mo'at into letting Grace back into the village," Grace is kneeling to talk to some children, and behind them to the right of the screen is a Tapirus (I was wondering what the heck it was until I came here). So... I think the 'first appearance' should change to the film.
I realize the game came out first, but if you're going by that, then a lot of other creatures here need to change as well.
