The First Songs are the first recordings, through song, by the native population of Pandora. Little is known of these songs other than that they detail the first interactions of the Na'vi with Eywa and the connection they share. It is unclear as to how many generations the songs have been transferred among the Na'vi people.
These songs are most likely known to all Na'vi; in childhood they learn to love and respect Eywa through song, which is the key idea of their life on their world.
History[]
Na'vi Developments[]
It is known that there were five instances in which members of the Na'vi species were chosen by Toruk and claimed the title of Toruk Makto since the beginning of the First Songs, one of them being an ancestor of Neytiri of the Omatikaya clan.
The Tulkun Way[]
The Na'vi were not the only species of Pandora that had significant developments during the First Songs. During that time, tulkun, a highly intelligent aquatic species, were aggressive and fought amongst themselves for either territory or revenge. However, they eventually came to the conclusion that violence only brings more violence and instead committed themselves to refraining from killing, no matter the circumstances. This led to the Tulkun Way, a philosophy of pacifism that tulkun have followed since.
