This is a Na'vi ceremony. Sawtute have no right to interfere. Furthermore, the preparations are all in order. It can not be stopped now.
Tiaru arguing with Raven.

Tiaru was the Olo'eyktan of the Hulanta clan in the Wetlands. He was the mate of Angat, the clan's Tsahìk, as well as the stepfather of Ro'até.[1]

Biography[]

Tiaru with father

Tiaru with Raven's father.

Tiaru once attempted to save the young Ro'até from the RDA; he battled a Samson aircraft alone. Earlier, Ro'até was angered about the death of a tetrapteron the RDA slaughtered. Raven's father arrived and diffused the situation. This is a playable flashback where the player controls Tiaru.[1]

Avatar: Reckoning[]

Raven meets Tiaru at the Hulanta clan's Hometree. Raven speaks to him before the initiation ritual begin, warning him of the upcoming downpour of rain. Tiaru, however, ignores the stranger's words and orders the ritual to be performed anyway.

War of the Wetlands[]

Later, when the RDA begun its invasion of the Wetlands, Raven tries to plead with Tiaru not to attack but to agree to negotiations with Trinity Harper. However, Trinity decides to carry out a massive attack anyway, meaning no negotiations take place. Although he evacuated many Na'vi to a safer direction, Tiaru did not manage to survive the invasion.

Roate 2

Tiaru's death after the War of the Wetlands.

After the conflict, when Raven and Ro'até were searching for injured survivors, they found Tiaru lying on the ground. Enraged by Tiaru's death. Ro'até anguished over him. Ro'até promised to herself that Trinity Harper will pay for her actions.

Later, Raven had a conversation with a backup of Tiaru's memory at the clan's Spirt Tree. They talk about Raven's father who said he was going to the Rey'tanu Clan.

With a deceased Olo'eyktan and a missing Tsahìk, Ro'até decides to lead the clan in Tiaru's place.

Trivia[]

  • In the Avatar: Reckoning script, Ro'até is seen calling Angat her mother with the line, "Angat... My mother... Hulanta Tsahìk! Is she there?" This suggests after Ro'até's father No'eng died, Angat found another mate (Tiaru). However, due to the fact No'eng died in 2154, this would mean O'ame and her brother are Tiaru's children.
  • He is one of the characters who had two voice actors during development, one of them sounding more older and gravel-like.
  • In an earlier build, Tiaru meets Raven's mother instead of their father.
