Tranquility Bulb — (Na'vi name: Speykakatyu meaning "The Drowner")[1], taxonomy nepenthes lacustrine (carnivorous plant pod) — is flora in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora most commonly found in the Pillar Canyon biome of the Upper Plains.

Tranquility bulbs are large carnivorous plants found on flat grounds across the Upper Plains. The main body of the plant is a single, waxy leaf that grows into a huge bowl shape.

This bowl typically fills with rainwater, into which aromatic resin from the plant is dissolved. This perfumed water attracts a variety of insects and creatures who become trapped in the liquid, unable to climb the bowl's smooth sides.

Beneath the surface of the water, growing from the base of the bowl, are ribbony tendrils that extend to grasp and ultimately consume the drowning prey. Birds and Na'vi are immune to this trap, the plant seemingly able to discern what has disturbed the water it contains.

Tranquility bulbs require relatively flat ground for their leaves to grow and form their distinctive bowl shape. The ground itself can be rocky, muddy, or forest floor. However, they predominantly grow in open spaces.

Na'vi are known to use tranquillity bulbs as a place to bathe within the Upper Plains. When in the water, the tendrils underneath investigate and caress the Na'vi's legs. This action gently exfoliates the Na'vi's skin — and the plant is then able to consume the dead skin cells as sustenance

As well as recreation, the planimal's water-tank-like structure enables it to be used as a fall cushion from impressive heights.
