Wanda Bryant is an ethnomusicologist who worked with James Cameron and James Horner to help create the music of Avatar.[1] She sourced numerous samples of non-Western sounds for potential use in the film's compositions. These included examples of Swedish cattle herding calls, folk dance songs from the Naga people of Northeast India, Vietnamese and Chinese traditional work songs, and greeting songs from Burundi.
