A Weaving song is a type of Hometree song often sung by Na'vi as they work on a loom. The songs are centered around Eywa, and describe her in context as a cosmic weaver who brings the disparate elements of Pandora together into a harmonious whole.

The following is an example of a weaving song.

English Na'vi
The rhythm of rain and sun,

Tompayä kato, tsawkeyä kato,

Of night and day,

Trrä sì txonä,

The rhythm of the years,

S(ì) ayzìsìtä kato,

And the beat of the hearts,

Sì ’ekong te’lanä,

Hearts of the people

Te’lanä le-Na’vi

Fills me,

Oeru teya si,

Fills me.

Oeru teya si.

I weave the rhythm

Katot täftxu oel

In yellow and blue,

Nìean nìrim,

The rhythm of the years,

Ayzìsìtä kato,

The spiral of the lives,

‘Ìheyu sìreyä,

The spiral of the lives,

‘Ìheyu sìreyä,

Lives of the people,

Sìreyä le-Na’vi,

Fills me,

Oeru teya si,

Fills me.

Oeru teya si.

Trivia[]

  • This is the song being sung at dinner after Jake Sully first comes to Hometree. As he and Neytiri ascend the spiral, the singer can be heard singing "..le-Na'vi, / Oeru te..." and skips to a different line, singing "Trra sì txo—" before being interrupted mid-word by Jake's arrival.
