Windrays are flying creatures that the Tlalim clan use to steer their airships, combined with a Medusa at the back.

Anatomy[]

Windrays somewhat resemble the Kite Manta, but they are far larger. Measuring several dozen meters in length, they resemble Terran stingrays with rounded bodies, likely filled with air or a light gas, enabling flight. Two pairs of fins extend from the sides of the body, providing propulsion and flight control. The elongated, narrow tail also ends in a flat fin. The animal's snout is surrounded by a set of several movable tentacles of unknown function. Queues extend from the sides of the snout, extending along the lower surface of the body, allowing a Na'vi pilot to steer them. The windray's operculum are also located on the underside.
