Hello, young rider! How is your journey with your ikran?

He is a member of the Omatikaya clan who lived on Pandora before the RDA arrived.

Biography[]

Avatar: Rites of Passage[]

After Uraku's Child completes the Survival, Hunting, and Riding trials, and assists to cure Uraku with slinth venom, the protagonist's parents will meet them before the start of Iknimaya to give them final instructions. Vey'ang suggests to seek advice from experienced clan members such as Wu'ati before beginning the ascent to the Hallelujah Mountains.

Wu'ati is standing at the exit of the Hometree area and can share tips regarding Iknimaya. Wu'atu can also be spoken to upon returning to Hometree after successfully completing Iknimaya and receiving an ikran: Wu'ati will talk about more interacting with one's ikran.

Trivia[]

  • Him and his mate Za'akan are the first openly named gay Na'vi confirmed in the Avatar franchise.
    • The old Pandorapedia from 2009 confirmed gay Na'vi existed.
    • Previously, there were only instances in which the gay Na'vi seemed to exist as background characters (e.g. holding hands in the background scenes of the films) or they were limited to unnamed NPCs talking about it (in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora). Rites of Passage is the first Avatar media where there is no Na'vi queerbaiting regarding a named same-sex Na'vi relationship.
  • Wu'ati wears a flight mask that is similar in design to Jake Sully's mask.
