Wu Mingxia (伍明霞), abbreviated as Ming (明), was a former employee of the Resources Development Administration, pilot of Samson and the shuttle Valkyrie. She is a trusted ally of Jake Sully and a fighter for the Resistance.
Biography[]
Ming's life prior to the Assault on the Tree of Souls is unknown. She is one of the people who was allowed to stay on Pandora in 2154 after the battle ended. She helped Jake whenever he needed airlift or any other type of air assistance.
Avatar: The High Ground[]
In 2168, she piloted the Samson 21 in search of Lo'ak, Kiri, Tuktirey, and Miles Socorro, who had wandered into the forest, unbeknownst to their parents, to the old battlefield during the Council of Elders' meeting. Ming had Nash McCosker and his family on board, who were Miles' adoptive family, and kept in touch with Jake and Neytiri, who were airborne looking for their children as well. Eventually, however, Neteyam on his banshee found them.

Shortly after a new human threat arrived on Pandora, Ming helped the entire Sully family escape the pursuing SecOps soldiers with the Skel Suit and with the help of the Tracker Bots. Using the call sign Rogue Two, she took the family to the floating mountains so they could board the Valkyrie. When the shuttle's engines were damaged, Ming was forced to ditch in the nearby sea, but they all made it out of the wreckage unharmed except Ming's second pilot who was devoured by a Nalutsa before she could get out of the water. Ming's leg is bandaged by Spider and the survivors were later rescued by Norm Spellman.

- Her callsign is Rogue Two, while Trudy Chacón was Rogue One.
- Mingxia is Chinese (明霞) and can mean "bright glow" or "glowing clouds".
- Her first name Wu is revealed in artwork at the end of the library edition of Avatar: The High Ground.
